Spring is in the air, baseball and daylight savings are here and we have renewed hope as life is inches closer to normal. IDI has gotten back into our routine and we recently added 3 new DigiFind-it websites including Wayne Public Library, Verona Public Library and the United Nations International School.
In April we will be begin imaging a large backlog of student grade reports for a prestigious university and we have also recently completed imaging photos, videos and vinyl records for their alumni association. We will also be setting up on site for a year at the Pennsylvania Historical Society to scan a rare and valuable collection. In May IDI will begin imaging over a million pages of University dissertations in the UK as well as a large Asian newspaper collection.
IDI’s microfilm sales from our Connecticut facility continue to grow. Microfilm provides a stable archive medium to back up digital conversions and serves as a tangible asset when purchasing digital collections. IDI has inked an additional two years of delivering Microfilm subscriptions for a well known publishing company which includes the London Times. John Grosso runs our Connecticut facility and recently was part of a informative Podcast discussing the important role microfilm plays in a digital world.
