Innovative News

November arrived quickly and the election madness will finally come to an end and we all look forward to Thanksgiving gatherings with family and friends.

The IDI team is especially looking forward to the Holiday break as November and December will be even more busy than usual for IDI. We have started a 3 million image HR project that must be completed this year from paper and microfiche as well as a high profile photo album project.

American Bible Society moved from NYC to Philadelphia last year and IDI scanned over 1 million pages of business records so the move was paperless. We are now digitizing ABS’s historical records including annual reports and photos.

We have completed the Elizabeth Public Library Daily Journal Newspaper Project (A NJ Historical Commission Grant) which included content from January 1871-August 1915 from microfilm and we have created a Digi-Find-it web portal. On November 3rd the library hosted a successful reception and background introduction on the Elizabeth Daily Journal presented by Aimee Fernandez-Puente who was so excited for the launch of the web portal for researching and keyword searching the newspaper.

IDI will now be traveling back to Chicago in November for the next 4 months for 3 Museum projects for a major publisher. We are also digitizing hundreds of reel to reel audio tapes for a special collection from a special Museum collection in Massachusetts.
