Innovative Document Imaging has begun a 1.5 million image history of law book scanning project for Yale Harvard and George Washington U that which is the 8th segment of 9 million images we have delivered over the last 7 years.

Jeff Paredes IDI’s IT manager will be returning from Australia in 2 weeks after installing the 4th of 4 Kirtas robotic book scanners that IDI sold to an Australian Service bureau. Jeff has also helped this bureau in managing this large project.

Next stop for IDI is the University of Alberta In Calgary Canada for a 180,000 image collection and next month it looks like IDI will be settling in to Washington DC for a large four year imaging project now that the government is open for business.

Ocean County Library’s main branch has contracted IDI to digitize local newspapers including the Beacon and the Tuckerton Beacon from microfilm rolls and install A Digi-find-it web portal on one of their servers for key word searching the collection. Shane Simon IDI’s web developer will be completing the installation by the end of Oct.
