IDI is a Reseller and User of the Kirtas Robotic Book Scanner Technology
IDI utilizes seven robotic book scanners to digitize lab notebooks. IDI has scanned as many as 3,000 lab notebooks in one month for a major pharmaceutical company which recently acquired a biotech company that possessed the books. IDI has also sold and supports Kirtas Robotic Book Scanners throughout the world.
Microfilm Creation
IDI creates 16mm grayscale or bi-tonal microfilm for permanent backup of lab notebooks or scanned documents. IDI utilizes state of the art e-beam recorder technology to create the best quality microfilm frames possible.
Microfilm or Microfiche Conversion to Digital Images
IDI utilizes nextScan ribbon technology to convert quickly and accurately microfilm or microfiche images back to PDF images for the pharmaceutical industry. Pharmaceutical companies legal departments frequently require IDI’s film to image services.

Electronic Lab Notebook Tracking System
The ELNTS system automates and creates a complete chain of custody in the process of creating legally acceptable microfilm from digital pharmaceutical lab notebooks.
Electronic Data (PDF Files) are transmitted to IDI, converted to a recordable format (TIFF) and assembled into microfilm rolls. Once the microfilm roll is created, it is fully tracked throughout the recording and shipping phase to a storage facility. Reports are created to easily retrieve experiments from the microfilm when required.
Microfilm Reader Printer and Scanner Reseller
Innovative Document Imaging is an authorized reseller of Konica Minolta microfilm reader printers and manual book scanners. IDI is also authorized to resell Kodak, Fujitsu and Canon document scanners.
